Forte Records

Forte Records was founded in 1998 by Christian Morgenstern as it was more and more difficult for him to find a suitable outlet for his own productions, a mixture between electronic Pop-music and Techno/House.

He decided to found a label that was open for something new. The idea was to create a platform that features good electronic music no matter what kind it might be of - a label without narrow-minded musical barriers - open for new influences, flavours and various styles of Media Arts.

Mid 1999 the moody Tech-House album "The Lydia E.P." by Christian Morgenstern was released and appreciated by DJs throughout the world, followed by the multimedia project "Death Before Disko". November 1999 Forte signed the super-furry 80's inspired Ural 13 Diktators from Finland and planted foundation stone for the launch of their sucessful debut album "Total Destruction".

In 2001 Christian Morgenstern's highly acclaimed 80's Pop influenced album "Hawaii Blue" was released, and the Forte army was joined by the german (ex Rock, now Techno band) Codec & Flexor. Starting as an outlet mainly for Christian Morgenstern's own music, Forte Records by now has developed towards one of the freshests outlets for electronic Pop music.
